Action Should Not be Forced, it Should be Voluntary

In today's world, there are many different branches of different religions, which are created, in my opinion to suit peoples needs and beliefs. There are some muslims who pray differently, such as Sunni's or Shi'as. Some women prefer to cover their heads, others prefer to cover their whole bodies, and some choose neither. I am one who chooses neither. In eastern cultures, most societies force people to follow religious traditions and rituals. My mother had always told me, that a person cannot be forced to do something they dont want to do, that they have free will, and that it is up to God to think of action to be taken, and not anyone else. As I was reading for my Religion 311 Women in Theology class, I came across a section in the reading that perfectly stated my point...
"No Muslim has authority over another Muslim in matters of religion, mind and will..." Nazira Zin al-Din.
It is even writting in the Qur'an that "He who obeys the Apostle, obeys God; But if any turn away, We have not sent thee To watch Over their evil deeds.
Zin al-Din also argues that "If God did not allow the Prophet Muhammad to wathc over the people's deeds, how do other Muslims assume for themselves such a privelege?"

That goes out to all those Al-Qaeda bastards, who think that every other society is the spawn of the devil, and that they themselve are doing God's work. No one can do God's work, God's shoes are too big to fill. They're just power hungry assholes that like to scare people. I feel that its not any of their business or anyone elses business to judge how people choose to live, and do what their freewill allows them to do. We're all human. We have needs, desires, aspirations that we feel need to be fulfilled. Why should we let anyone stop us from doing what we want. As long as pain and suffering isnt being inflicted on anyone, then we should all have our own say, and no body, besides God should judge us.

If We're All Created Equally, Why Are We Treated Differently?

Ok so, were supposedly all created equally right? Ok. Fine. So how come in the muslim religion, a man can marry outside of the religion, but if a woman does this, she's once again considered a whore? Since all people are created equally, and from one creator, why should it matter what someone else's faith, traditions, gender are? Its not as if we're mixing in between species.
When a woman marries outside of the religion, her parents ask themselves where they went wrong, and "if we were still back home, you could've married a nice muslim man..." Yea, a muslim man who is twice your age. Parents automatically begin to curse the American culture. Shouldnt they have realized that when they immigrated to America that nothing stays the same, and it would be very difficult to prevent their children from taking in some of the American beliefs and social standards? I'm speaking from experience. I have no intention what so ever, to marry a muslim man. Me and muslims dont mix really well. The only muslims I associate with are my cousins. Going to family occasions is a bore, because I'm with a bunch of people who think so backwardly, and hypocritically. I wonder how Mom will handle it, if I come home one day and tell her that I've gotten engaged, but he isnt muslim? Shell ofcourse be hysterical, but shell get over it...right? If organized religions are so "love youself and your neighbor," why does it matter who my neighbor is that I'm loving?
A man is allowed to marry outside of the religion, because when a child is born, he takes on whatever the father is. So the religion is carried through the father. It boggles my mind when I ask why cant the child still be considered a muslim if his mom is, but the father isnt? As long as the child has faith, what does it matter that the father is a Catholic, Christian, Jew, Aetheist?

Intro: Rebellion

A person should always live to make themselves happy. Sometime, due to the situation, it is hard to realize that you can't live for others, and their happiness shouldn't be placed over yours. The feeling that comes with this realization is liberating. Speaking from experience, growing up with parents who are Afghan Muslim immigrants, it was difficult to live for myself. After realizing that being told what to do just to make Mommy happy wasn't cutting it, thinking for myself was the first thing that had to be done. Since we are all entitled to our own opinion's it's necessary to state that religions have tendencies to restrict people from doing what they want. As long as a person isn't harming themselves or others, why should it matter if a Muslim woman wants to marry outside of the religion? Or if she wants to loose her virginity before marriage? Why do people make it their concern to obsess over anothers choice of lifestyle. If someone has homosexual preferences, so what? Why do people care so much? People only have one life to live, and it should be lived to the fullest. Religions are sexist, and eventually woman get tired of being told what she can or cannot do. Why is it ok for a male to sleep around with more than one person, and is accepted, but when a female sleeps around, shes a whore? People should be able to express themselves, and should not worry about what others think or feel. Screw them. Who cares.
